How to identify good quality spunbond bags

Selecting a quality spunbond bag has many details that should be noted in order to get a bag that is both beautiful, durable and worthwhile to use. Here is how to check if a spunbond bag is of good quality or not:

1. Fabric thickness (grams or GSM)
The unit of measurement GSM (Gram per Square Meter) indicates the thickness of the fabric.
A good spunbond fabric should be 60 GSM or more thick.
If it is used to carry heavy items, 75–100 GSM is recommended.
If it is too thin, it will tear easily and will not last long.

2. Sewing the seams.
Check that the stitching is neat, tight and not frayed.
Important points such as the corners of the bag and the handle should be sewn with reinforced stitching.

3. Carrying straps.
The width of the carrying strap should be just right, not too small.
If using a small strap, it may hurt your hand when carrying heavy items or the strap may break easily.
The point where the strap connects to the bag should be sewn multiple times or reinforced with fabric.

4. Fabric.
A good spunbond fabric will be consistent and not too thin and see-through.
The surface should be smooth, not rough, no holes or tears.

5. Smell
Good quality spunbond fabric should not have a strong chemical smell.
If there is a strong smell, it may be due to the use of recycled materials or substandard colors.

6. Printing (if any)
Screen printing or printing should be firmly attached, the color should not peel off easily.
The color should be sharp and consistent.

7. Source / Brand
Choose from manufacturers or stores with good reviews or experience in this field.
A fabric bag that is too cheap may use thin fabric or be poorly sewn.
